The Swatch x Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Green Abyss celebrates the mystery of ocean abysses with the deep green of the sea floor: the “Regal Sea Goddess” — the nudibranchia featured on the caseback of this model — is one of the most colorful and striking marine creatures inhabiting the oceans. The Blancpain x Swatch Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms pays tribute to Blancpain’s original Fifty Fathoms, the first true diving watch in history, created in 1953, now in the accessible Bioceramic scale and with the automatic SISTEM51 movement — a combination that fundamentally distinguishes it from the quartz MoonSwatch.
Design and Features
The abyssal green Bioceramic case with the unidirectional bezel and black and sand details evokes the palette of the deep ocean. Water contact indicator on the bezel and nudibranch printed on the rotor of the movement visible through the transparent caseback. Blancpain has engraved five motifs on the case: “Passion For Diving,” “Licence To Explore,” “Ocean Breath,” “Protect What You Love,” and “Immerse Yourself.”
