Hence the “TL” for Total: twelve columns, each with a different density depending on the area (more cushioning in the heel, more flexibility in the forefoot). Its glossy, almost mechanical finish turned it over the years into a street icon rather than a competition shoe. The Off Noir/Hyper Pink colorway is the most graphic interpretation of that silhouette.
The profile remains unmistakable: a high midsole on visible columns, a synthetic layered upper with molded panels, and a formal language that has been compared with the work of HR Giger.
