The Swatch x Omega Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission to Earth is the closest of all the missions in the collection: the ocean blue and the green of Earth's vegetation, our planet seen from space as described by astronaut Edgar Mitchell — "a bright blue pearl floating in the blackness of the universe." Of the eleven inaugural models in the Omega × Swatch collaboration from March 2022, the Mission to Earth is the one that most directly evokes the "Blue Marble" photograph taken from Apollo 17 in 1972 — a deep blue with green and white details.
Design and features
The ocean blue Bioceramic with green and white details is the palette of Earth from space: three chronograph subdials, tachymeter scale with "Dot over 90," and Super-LumiNova® on hands and indices. The battery cover shows the globe alongside the legend "DREAM BIG – FLY HIGHER – EXPLORE THE UNIVERSE – REACH FOR THE PLANETS."
