Shawn Stussy founded his business in 1980 in Laguna Beach: during the day, he shaped surfboards in his Laguna Canyon workshop, and at night, he screen-printed T-shirts that he sold in local surf shops. The logo was his signature drawn with a thick marker, actually inherited from his uncle, the artist Jan Stussy. The Any Angle graphic plays with this lettering, presenting it from different perspectives.
