The Velum is the first lifestyle silhouette that designer Salehe Bembury has created for Puma, unveiled after his Mostro House appearance during Paris Fashion Week. Bembury is known for his organic, biomorphic approach, inspired by natural forms, and with the Velum he brings that language to a running shoe with NITROFOAM cushioning. The Magenta Gleam colorway highlights the design with a vibrant, luminous hue.
The Velum SB Nitro features a stacked midsole with Bembury’s 3D-textured fingerprint pattern on the heel, a structured mesh upper that imitates the “velum” membrane found in certain invertebrates, and a cracked Formstrip logo on the side. In Magenta Gleam, this organic formscape is covered in an intense magenta that accentuates every texture in the design.
