The idea came from Tinker Hatfield, who drew inspiration from Paris’s Centre Pompidou: a building turned inside out, with ducts, staircases, and pipes exposed and painted in bright colors. Hatfield cut away the midsole to expose the Air unit despite internal opposition. This colorway combines Red Stardust and Guava Ice, two warm, muted tones that complement each other.
Low-profile design, a stitched elongated Swoosh, and a visible Air unit in the heel. Red Stardust, an earthy red, covers the Swoosh and overlays, while Guava Ice, a soft orangey pink, covers the panels and tongue. The light-colored midsole keeps the palette from feeling too heavy.
