The Blancpain x Swatch Scuba Fifty Fathoms Ocean of Storms is the most unique and unexpected model in the Blancpain × Swatch collection: the "Ocean of Storms" (Oceanus Procellarum) is not a terrestrial ocean, but the largest lunar mare, the vast basaltic sea that occupies the western third of the Moon's visible face. A poetic choice by Blancpain that connects diving — the exploration of Earth's seas — with space exploration, uniting the two great stages of human adventure in a single name. The Bioceramic with the color palette of the lunar "sea" — gray, dark blue, and black tones that evoke the basaltic surface of Oceanus Procellarum as seen from space probes — with the unidirectional diving bezel and the nudibranch printed on the SISTEM51 rotor visible through the transparent case back.
