Kiko Kostadinov is a Bulgarian designer based in London who graduated from Central Saint Martins’ master’s program in menswear fashion design in 2016 and was the first student in that discipline to receive NewGen Men support from the British Fashion Council. His collaboration with ASICS began at his own brand’s S/S17 show and has continued ever since under the name Novalis, a joint project in which the designer reinterprets the Japanese house’s technical silhouettes. The Gel-Styrax is part of that line, and this Black Silver version represents its most monochromatic take.

The model adopts a mule-style construction, without a heel closure, stripping the running silhouette of its most conventional elements to bring it closer to the world of fashion.
