atmos is one of Japan’s most renowned sneaker boutiques, with its atmos pink line focused on feminine style, while OJOS is a South Korean women’s fashion brand. For this project, both joined ASICS in a triple collaboration under the Traces of Time concept, reinterpreting the three brands’ shared aesthetic with evolved materials and a more nuanced color expression. The result is this version of the Gel-1130 RE, featuring jewelry-inspired details and a metal charm with the OJOS and atmos logos.
The Gel-1130 arrived in 2008 as a more affordable alternative to premium models such as the Gel-Kayano 14, taking its design inspiration from it. It was built to last, with the TRUSSTIC midfoot stability system and GEL cushioning to absorb impact, atop a mesh upper with metallic details typical of the late 2000s. It made a strong comeback in 2021 alongside the Y2K aesthetic, and in this Traces of Time version it features a translucent gray mesh upper with synthetic leather accents, matte silver side stripes, transparent and reflective elements, a brown-toned sole, and a quick-lacing system with a co-branded metal charm.
