The SL 72 was introduced in 1972 for the Munich Olympic Games, designed for track athletes. The initials explain it all: “SL” for Super Light and “72” for the year. It weighed 308 grams, combined a nylon upper with suede reinforcements and a serrated rubber sole, and Fortune magazine included it that same year among the twenty-five best-designed products. It was also the first adidas model to feature the trefoil logo. The RS version —for “reshaped”— retains that upper and adds a slightly thicker sole.

The RS midsole is slightly higher than the original without disrupting the proportions. Changing sizes is easy: request the return from your account under My orders, indicate the size you want in the comments, and as soon as we receive the item, we’ll send you the new size at no shipping cost. There’s no need to place a new order.
We’ll provide the return label via WhatsApp (SEUR or UPS in mainland Spain; UPS for all other destinations). Its cost is the standard rate for your area, for example €6.95 in mainland Spain. The item must be unused and have the Next Step Verified tag intact.
