Spezial (SPZL) is the project created in 2014 by Gary Aspden to revive pieces from the adidas archive linked to the British "Casuals" subculture, football fans from the 70s and 80s who adopted high-end European sports brands as informal uniforms. The Punstock, first launched in 2018, is based on a little-known 1984 silhouette called "Freizeit", with an aesthetic similar to the Wallabee, and was part of the "Acid Winter" collection, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Acid House.
This second Punstock release updates the suede and adds the classic Hawaii sole associated with the Spezial line. In Blanch Cargo Cardboard, beige and cardboard tones combine for an earthy, understated finish.
