The Adilette was created at the request of the German national football team, which needed shower footwear to help prevent athlete’s foot. Adi Dassler developed it using injection-molded foam technology and launched it in 1972, shortly before the Munich Olympic Games, where medal-winning swimmers wore it on their way to the pools. This Blue White version brings back the original navy blue and white color palette.
The wide strap with three stripes and the injected-foam footbed have been its signature features since the original launch. On the Blue White version, blue covers the main strap while white appears on the sole and details, recreating the Adilette’s historic colorway.
