Nike launched the Air Rift in 1996 after working with Kenyan long-distance runners accustomed to competing barefoot: it was the brand’s first foray into natural-motion footwear. The design was created by Kip Buck, the brand’s footwear designer and an ultramarathon runner. The name comes from the Great Rift Valley, and the split toe is inspired by the geological fault that runs through it.
The split toe promotes more natural movement with every step, while the Velcro strap replaces laces. Here, the usual technical fabric gives way to premium-finish leather in Anthracite, a very dark gray that structures the silhouette and gives it substance, with the Swoosh and trims in Metallic Silver as the only touch of shine.

Changing sizes is easy: request the return from your account under My orders, indicate the size you want in the comments, and as soon as we receive the item, we’ll send you the new size at no shipping cost. There’s no need to place a new order.
We’ll provide the return label via WhatsApp (SEUR or UPS in mainland Spain; UPS for all other destinations). Its cost is the standard rate for your area, for example €6.95 in mainland Spain. The item must be unused and have the Next Step Verified tag intact.
