His sketches were inspired by Florida sunsets and palm trees, which led to the wavy TPU overlays that support the mesh. Tuned Air divided the heel chamber into two independent hemispheres, more efficient than a single air bag. This Black Volt Ice is its most aggressive version.
Against the black base, the TPU ribs almost disappear from view and can only be sensed in motion. Volt strikes as a single burst of color on the elongated Swoosh and heel details, while the translucent Ice outsole reveals the Air unit from below. The Tn logo appears on the heel and outsole, as on the original.
