James Lee and Yue Wu designed it remotely during the months of lockdown, exaggerating New Balance’s classic codes—the lateral N, the structured heel, the visible midsole—until taking them into clearly retro-futuristic territory. Driftwood Sea Salt translates that idea into an off-season beach palette.
The silhouette is voluminous and curved, with a split midsole and a wavy N as its signature.
