The Gel-NYC was born in 2023 with the idea of reconstructing elements from the ASICS archive through a modern interpretation. Its first appearance was a collaboration with Awake NY, Angelo Baque’s brand, in January 2023, followed by the general release in March. The recipe is explicit: the outsole pattern comes from the GEL-CUMULUS 16, the upper is based on the early-2000s GEL-NIMBUS 3, and the colors and materials come from the 2001 GEL-MC PLUS V. Within a few months, it became the brand’s second-best-selling sneaker of all time.
The upper is built in layers: a highly breathable open-cell mesh base, topped with curved synthetic leather and suede panels that create the model’s distinctive profile. The White Oatmeal colorway combines a white base with Oatmeal panels, a warm oat beige, for a soft and understated result.

Changing sizes is easy: request the return from your account under My orders, indicate the size you want in the comments, and as soon as we receive the item, we’ll send you the new size at no shipping cost. There’s no need to place a new order.
We’ll provide the return label via WhatsApp (SEUR or UPS in mainland Spain; UPS for all other destinations). Its cost is the standard rate for your area, for example €6.95 in mainland Spain. The item must be unused and have the Next Step Verified tag intact.
