The upper comes from the early-2000s GEL-NIMBUS 3, the outsole pattern from the GEL-CUMULUS 16, and the color palette and materials from the 2001 GEL-MC PLUS V. It debuted in January 2023 alongside Awake NY, Angelo Baque's brand, and within a few months became ASICS's second best-selling sneaker. The Lake Grey Piedmont Grey is its most technical and understated version.
The foundation is highly breathable open-cell mesh, overlaid with curved suede and synthetic leather panels.
