The Superstar dates back to 1969 and was originally designed as a basketball sneaker: it was the first to feature a molded rubber toe cap, the famous shell toe, designed to protect the foot on the court. Decades later, it became a hip-hop icon and one of the best-selling models in history from Adidas. This version is part of the Care Bears x Adidas collection, launched globally in July 2026, and is dedicated to Cheer Bear, the pink bear from the series.
The silhouette retains all the original design codes: a ribbed rubber toe cap, three perforated stripes on the side, and a reinforced heel. What changes is the treatment: the collection goes beyond co-branding, working with a pastel palette, soft materials, and character artwork. Here, the Clear Pink, Cloud White, and Bliss Pink color scheme creates a soft gradient around the white shell toe.
