The BW Army — short for Bundeswehr, the German armed forces — dates back to the 1970s, when adidas manufactured sports footwear for military issue: simple construction, durable leather, and a gum rubber sole. Hartcopy, the project Timothy Suen launched in 2020 as a sneaker archive on Instagram and which eventually became a printed book, found its first collaboration with the German brand in this forgotten model.
After the 2024 debut, limited to one thousand pairs, a second drop arrived in two monochrome editions. This is the muted grey version, with a light gum sole, off-white leather lining, and the red zigzag stitching that is Hartcopy’s signature, placed on the outer toe box. The collection received a wider release on April 10, 2026.

Changing sizes is easy: request the return from your account under My orders, indicate the size you want in the comments, and as soon as we receive the item, we’ll send you the new size at no shipping cost. There’s no need to place a new order.
We’ll provide the return label via WhatsApp (SEUR or UPS in mainland Spain; UPS for all other destinations). Its cost is the standard rate for your area, for example €6.95 in mainland Spain. The item must be unused and have the Next Step Verified tag intact.
