It took the Jazz's silhouette and updated the midsole with EVA technology and a TPU heel support. The Shadow 5000 followed in 1989, with a more technical midsole and advanced EVA cushioning for a smoother ride during long-distance runs. Over time, the line moved from the road into the wardrobe, and today it is one of the most respected retro silhouettes in the Saucony catalogue.
