Designed as a sporty alternative to the Puma Basket, it gained prominence that same year when Olympic athlete Tommie Smith left it on the podium during his historic protest gesture. This collaboration with Bodega, launched in August 2025 under the concept "Engineered for Expression", fuses street football culture with the aesthetic of the New York store.
The silhouette retains its iconic reinforced toe and heel, the lateral Puma Formstrip logo, and the thick rubber sole that made it indispensable for track athletes and, later, for breakdance and hip-hop culture.
