The Total 90 III appeared in 2004, shortly before the European Championship, and became the crown jewel of the series: laceless, with the “90” surrounded by a circle across the instep and a panelled construction that allowed for endless color combinations. Wayne Rooney, Luis Figo, and Roberto Carlos wore it. Nike has brought it back in 2026, and several Premier League and Ligue 1 clubs have confirmed that some players will wear personalized versions this season.
The key technical feature is the asymmetrical lacing: moving the laces to one side leaves the instep clear and increases the contact area with the ball. It was combined with water-resistant synthetic microfiber, breathable mesh, and Zoom Air in the heel. The current reissue adds a modernized internal structure and React cushioning, so you can play full matches without the painful break-in period of the original. This version comes in Metallic Silver with black.
