The Total 90 III launched in 2004 and revolutionized the game on the pitch: it was part of the boot line Nike built in the early 2000s around the idea of fast-paced play, and was worn by footballers such as Luís Figo and Wayne Rooney. In July 2025, Nike brought it back to the market as a street sneaker, retaining its asymmetrical lacing system and padded upper while adding a leather construction and Zoom Air cushioning. This Black Anthracite is its most understated version.
The model’s signature feature is its lacing system: offset toward the side to keep the striking zone clear, a detail inherited directly from the boot. The upper retains the padded panels that gave it volume and protection. Here, the entire design is rendered in black, with Anthracite gray outlining the panels and the Swoosh in a tonal finish.
