The Chron 2 is the continuation of one of the simplest and most widely worn silhouettes in the Nike SB catalog: a low-top vulcanized shoe, without unnecessary features, designed for plenty of skating at an affordable price. The second version redesigned the collar and heel to improve the fit compared with the original model, while keeping everything that worked intact. Black/Gum is the classic skate combination: black on top, caramel-colored rubber underneath.
The upper combines suede and canvas, two breathable materials that hold up well to grip-tape abrasion, with the Nike SB Swoosh patch on the sides. The toe features an extended bumper, the area that gets destroyed first when skating. The translucent gum sole completes the design and provides extra grip on the grip tape that a plain black sole would not offer.
