The Nike Dunk was born in 1985 as a college basketball sneaker as part of the Be True To Your School program, which outfitted the major NCAA teams in their university colors. That two-tone color-blocking approach defined the model forever. Decades later, the skateboarding community adopted it for its flat sole and support, and from there it moved straight to the streets.
Low-top silhouette, clearly defined overlapping panels, a wide lateral Swoosh, and a padded tongue with a woven label. This colorway forgoes the usual contrast: white runs throughout the entire model, while the Shimmer tone adds a subtle pearlescent sheen to the panels, visible only when the light hits them.
