The Cortez was the first running shoe Nike launched, in 1972, and much of the company’s early success is attributed to it. It was designed by co-founder Bill Bowerman with comfort and durability for distance training in mind, and was the first to combine a full-length midsole with a layer of spongy rubber beneath the upper. It was also the first model to feature the Swoosh.
The profile has remained unchanged for more than fifty years: a low, elongated silhouette, a Swoosh running along the side, a heel counter, and a herringbone outsole. This colorway combines two browns: Fauna Brown, an earthy medium brown, and Cacao Wow, a darker, deeper shade. The contrast is subtle, almost tonal, and is most noticeable through the change in material.

Changing sizes is easy: request the return from your account under My orders, indicate the size you want in the comments, and as soon as we receive the item, we’ll send you the new size at no shipping cost. There’s no need to place a new order.
We’ll provide the return label via WhatsApp (SEUR or UPS in mainland Spain; UPS for all other destinations). Its cost is the standard rate for your area, for example €6.95 in mainland Spain. The item must be unused and have the Next Step Verified tag intact.
