Launched in 1995 and designed by Sergio Lozano, the Air Max 95 broke with everything that came before by looking inward: to the human body. The layered upper evokes muscle fibers, the lace eyelets are inspired by ribs, and the sole follows the line of the spine, while the color gradient recalls the erosion of rock. The Big Bubble version brings back the concept of an oversized, four-window visible Air unit, devised in the late '80s and now taken to its fullest expression, more faithful than ever to the original 1995 prototypes. In this Black Carbon colorway, the silhouette becomes completely dark and aggressive.
The Air Max 95 silhouette is unmistakable: overlapping gradient panels, rib-like metal eyelets, and a midsole that winds like a spine.
