When Bruce Kilgore designed the Air Force 1 in 1982, he did something no one had done before: he put Nike Air cushioning inside a basketball shoe. That model changed the court and then changed the streets, eventually becoming probably the best-selling sneaker in history. The '07 version is the reissue Nike released for its 25th anniversary and is now the model's standard. This colorway replaces classic white with a warm cream.
The construction has not changed in four decades: a leather upper with perforated panels on the toe box for ventilation, a padded collar, a metal lace tag and a sole with the pivot circle inherited from basketball. Here, Cream leather covers the entire shoe, while the Swoosh appears in a pearlescent tone with a soft sheen—a subtle contrast that becomes visible in the light.
