The 550 was born in 1989 under the direction of Steven Smith, one of the great architects of New Balance sneaker design, as a low-profile basketball silhouette. It remained dormant for decades until Teddy Santis rescued it from the archives in 2020 with Aimé Leon Dore, sparking its return to the forefront of streetwear. UNITED ARROWS, the Japanese fashion label that had already reinterpreted the New Balance 1700 and RC 205, added its own chapter by reworking the 550 with a minimalist approach and elevated materials.
The silhouette retains its court DNA: low profile, rounded toe, flat laces, and the embroidered lateral "N" logo. In this UNITED ARROWS edition, the original leather gives way to soft gray suede panels, with the midsole and outsole in a darker gray and touches of white completing the contrast. The result is a serene tonal palette, far removed from the model's usual vibrant colorways.

We’ll provide the return label via WhatsApp (SEUR or UPS in mainland Spain; UPS for all other destinations). Its cost is the standard rate for your area, for example €6.95 in mainland Spain. The item must be unused and have the Next Step Verified tag intact.
