The 2010 was introduced in 2025, with a clear concept: take the two silhouettes that perform best in New Balance's current lineup—the 9060, with its curved, exaggerated language, and the 990v6, with its technical restraint—and keep the best of both. The result is a new sneaker that is instantly recognizable even if no one has seen it before, and that debuted in muted tones in May of that year.
The construction starts with a breathable mesh base overlaid with curved-line panels that wrap around the foot and visually elongate the profile. Underneath, a substantial sole unit adds the characteristic volume of the family. This colorway moves between Covert Green, a muted military green, and Dry Lime accents, a dry lime shade that appears in select details and breaks up the overall restraint.
