This 1906R is part of the "Hero Pack", the project that New Balance launched with Tyrese Maxey in 2025, inspired by his passion for comics, and which also included a basketball shoe, the Hesi Low v2. The 1906R was the lifestyle piece of that release, designed for everyday wear off the court, and served as a preview of Maxey's future solo signature model, planned for a later date. This White Blue colorway captures the comic-book aesthetic with a light base and highly distinctive pops of color.
The 1906R silhouette combines a white canvas base with leather overlays, pastel blue eyelets, yellow laces and yellow details on the midsole, along with purple and blue accents throughout the lining and heel.
