The New Balance 1000 launched in 1999 as a hybrid of running and trail, at the height of the metallic and technological aesthetic of the turn of the millennium. Its name came from a historic brand campaign for the 990 — “on a scale of 1000, this shoe is a 990” — so the 1000 was literally conceived as the perfect shoe. It was not commercially successful, and the brand shelved it for nearly two decades until Teddy Santis, creative director of New Balance MADE in USA, brought it back in 2024. The Black Grey Red is its boldest take.
The silhouette is pure Y2K: construction with overlapping panels, intersecting lines and generous volume that fits perfectly with today’s love of the dad shoe. In this colorway, black structures the body, grey adds depth to the panels and red appears in precise accents—a classic distribution that keeps the overall look from becoming flat.

We’ll provide the return label via WhatsApp (SEUR or UPS in mainland Spain; UPS for all other destinations). Its cost is the standard rate for your area, for example €6.95 in mainland Spain. The item must be unused and have the Next Step Verified tag intact.
