The Bondi launched in 2011 and quickly became the model that best represented HOKA’s origins: the idea of maximum cushioning brought to the asphalt. In April 2025, the collaboration with the Italian fashion house Marni arrived in stores. Marni took the Bondi 3 and reduced it to its formal essence, creating a silhouette that is both sophisticated and exaggerated, minimalist and maximalist at the same time. Straw is one of the four versions from that collection.
The most radical change compared with the original Bondi is the material: where there was mesh and technical knit, Marni used a plush, subtly rubberized polyester that completely transforms the shoe’s feel and visual character. The platform remains the Bondi’s unmistakable voluminous sole, but the finish takes it away from a sporting context. In Straw, straw beige covers the entire design in an almost monochrome tonal treatment.
