The Noosa Tri is ASICS's triathlon shoe, and its design addresses a problem that no standard running shoe has to solve: putting it on with wet feet, without socks, and in a hurry. Hence the pull tabs on the tongue and heel, designed to slip it on in one go when leaving the bike. The 16th generation reduced the weight to 215 grams in the men's version and 185 in the women's version, refining this approach even further.
The midsole uses FF BLAST PLUS foam for a lightweight feel and energy return, while the outsole features highly abrasion-resistant ASICSGRIP rubber that provides good traction even on wet ground—a common situation when leaving the swimming segment. The technical mesh upper prioritizes ventilation. The colorway goes for a vivid contrast between Sky and Cherry Tomato.
