Jordan Brand partnered with Casa 93, a French design school, to create this edition dedicated to the Seine-Saint-Denis department, popularly known as “le 93” or “Neuf Trois” because of its administrative number. Released in autumn 2024, the collaboration celebrates the culture and energy of this Parisian area, with the number “93” split across both heel tabs.
Designed by Peter Moore alongside Tinker Hatfield and Bruce Kilgore, the Air Jordan 1 was the first shoe created for Michael Jordan and was eventually banned by the NBA for breaking the league’s uniform regulations. In this Mid edition, the mid-top silhouette is dressed in Iron Grey and Cool Grey leather panels combined with black, while the vibrant green laces and inner lining provide the contrast symbolizing the energy of Seine-Saint-Denis. A metal pendant bearing the words “Seine-Saint-Denis” and “Neuf Trois” completes the tribute.
