The story begins before the name: in the mid-1960s, adidas developed a leather tennis shoe with French player Robert Haillet. When Haillet retired, Horst Dassler looked for an active tennis player for an updated version, and in 1971 he found Stan Smith, then a Grand Slam winner and the world number one. Thus began one of the longest-running partnerships in footwear — and the green heel detail that identifies it.
Its design breakthrough is an absence: where other adidas shoes feature stitched Three Stripes, the Stan Smith has three rows of perforations. Everything else is equally understated: smooth white leather from edge to edge, a low-profile rubber sole and, in this version, green on the heel and tongue — the shoe’s only color and the detail that makes it recognizable from a distance.

Changing sizes is easy: request the return from your account under My orders, indicate the size you want in the comments, and as soon as we receive the item, we’ll send you the new size at no shipping cost. There’s no need to place a new order.
We’ll provide the return label via WhatsApp (SEUR or UPS in mainland Spain; UPS for all other destinations). Its cost is the standard rate for your area, for example €6.95 in mainland Spain. The item must be unused and have the Next Step Verified tag intact.
