Adi Dassler designed the Samba in 1949, and it reached the field the following year: a training shoe for frozen or hard ground, with a rubber sole capable of providing grip where studs were ineffective. It was the official footwear of the German national team at the 1962 World Cup, and decades later it moved from the pitch to the asphalt, becoming one of adidas's most recognizable models. The Samba OG is the faithful version of that original; here, with floral embroidery that adds texture without altering the silhouette.
