The adidas Japan was originally developed for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, as part of the brand’s elite competition sneaker range at the time. It was not released to the general public until the early seventies, and has been part of the City Series ever since—the family of models that adidas named after cities. It is an exceptionally understated design: leather, three stripes, and little else. This white version with aged brown brings it to its warmest expression.
