In 2023, Adidas invited sixteen of its best retail partners to design a sneaker for the Consortium Cup, an internal competition bringing together stores from around the world. The winner was Offspring, the British retailer, with this take on the Centennial 85 Low. The sneaker went on sale on January 19, 2024, on the Offspring website, and arrived at the rest of the selected stores in Europe a week later.
The upper combines perforated leather, suede, and canvas in the same shade, creating a monochromatic effect through texture rather than color: the off-white with a slight pink tint looks different on each material. The Offspring logo is embossed on the side of the heel, and a Consortium Cup hangtag is attached to the laces. Underneath, the semitransparent cupsole completes the design.
