The Campus launched in 1970 as a basketball shoe under the name Tournament and was not renamed Campus until the eighties. In 2022, adidas launched the Campus 00s, drawing directly on that decade with more generous proportions than the original model.
Compared with the classic Campus, the 00s widens the midfoot and exaggerates the tongue, that thick, padded piece that reveals its skate origins. Suede covers the entire upper, including the tongue. This pair uses a dark, layered palette: a Core Black base, Off White stripes and heel, and Grey Six as the intermediate shade so the contrast does not feel harsh.
