The Adistar Control 5 debuted in 2008, but its lineage began much earlier: the Adistar series was established in 1976 and returned to the forefront in the early 2000s, divided into three branches with distinct functions: Cushion for soft landings, Ride for balanced daily miles, and Control for those who needed structure. By the time the Control 5 arrived, adidas had refined the formula. A soft relaunch began in 2025 before the full reintroduction in 2026.
The original model brought together some of the brand's best technologies: a Formotion unit in the heel to stabilize the landing, a torsion bar in the midfoot to propel the transition, adiPRENE+ cushioning in the forefoot, and an adiWEAR outsole. All of that is still visible in the silhouette, now repositioned as a lifestyle piece. Preloved Blue covers the mesh panels, while dark brown structures the reinforcements, creating a much more understated combination than that of a technical runner from the era.

We’ll provide the return label via WhatsApp (SEUR or UPS in mainland Spain; UPS for all other destinations). Its cost is the standard rate for your area, for example €6.95 in mainland Spain. The item must be unused and have the Next Step Verified tag intact.
