Team Espeon, or are you crossing over to the dark side with Umbreon? If you already know your answer, the Pokémon TCG Prismatic Evolutions: Espeon Mini Tin is the most direct way to show it. It's one of the eight mini tins from the special expansion dedicated to Eevee and its evolutions, and it's the kind of buy that makes sense whether you're opening packs live or trying to complete the art card puzzle.
The Pokémon TCG Prismatic Evolutions: Espeon Mini Tin is a collectible mini tin with two Scarlet & Violet—Prismatic Evolutions booster packs, an Eevee coin in one of eight colors and an Espeon art card that fits together with the cards from the other seven tins to form one complete illustration.
What's inside the Prismatic Evolutions Espeon mini tin?
Let's get straight to it, because that's the first thing everyone wants to know. Inside the tin you'll find:
- 2 booster packs of Scarlet & Violet—Prismatic Evolutions, each with 10 cards and 1 Basic Energy.
- 1 Eevee coin, which can come in one of 8 colors.
- 1 art card with the same Espeon illustration featured on the tin.
- The collectible mini tin itself, perfect for storing dice, markers or your favorite pulls.
The coin is more fun than it sounds: since the color varies, some collectors open several tins just to get the full set. And when you play, flipping your own coin always beats using any random one.
The art card: the 8 Mini Tins puzzle
Here's the real hook of this format. Each of the eight mini tins (Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon and Sylveon) includes its own art card, and when you put all eight together they form one big, unique illustration.
That's why the Pokémon TCG Prismatic Evolutions: Espeon Mini Tin isn't just “two packs in a tin”: it's one piece of a mosaic. If you already own another mini tin from the series, Espeon gets you closer to completing the set; if it's your first, it's the perfect starting point for Psychic-type fans.
Collector tip: keep the art cards in sleeves or a 9-pocket binder page. That way you can assemble the full illustration without damaging them and show it off in your stories or your setup.
Which cards can you pull from Prismatic Evolutions packs?
The contents of each pack are random, so no one can guarantee you a specific hit. What we do know is why this expansion generated so much hype since its English release on January 17, 2025:
- Reverse holos with Poké Ball and Master Ball patterns: the expansion includes versions with these special patterns, and Master Balls are harder to get than Poké Balls.
- Eevee's evolutions take center stage: among them is Espeon ex, which appears both as a regular version and as a Special Illustration Rare card.
- A base set of 131 numbered cards, plus the secret cards.
If you're an Espeon fan, opening the packs from its own tin adds an extra thrill: an Espeon Master Ball reverse holo or Espeon ex would be the dream combo. But remember: it's pure luck.
Reviews: is the Espeon Mini Tin worth it?
Going through buyer reviews in Spanish stores, the pattern repeats: what people value most is how good-looking the tin designs are and that it's a product that's “fun to open”. Some mention pulling a hit from both packs and being really happy with what they got for the price.
The complaints? More about shipping than the product: one buyer received the tin with a dented lid. If the condition of the tin matters to you for display, buy from a store that packs carefully, because a dented mini tin loses a lot of its charm on the shelf.
Who it's perfect for
- Espeon or Psychic-type fans who want something themed.
- Collectors completing the 8 art cards.
- Anyone looking for a small, good-looking Pokémon gift with a surprise factor.
- Content creators doing openings on TikTok or YouTube: two packs are the perfect pace for a short video.
Mini Tin vs. other Prismatic Evolutions formats
Compared with the expansion's bigger products, the mini tin is the most compact entry point: fewer packs, but with exclusive extras (coin and art card) and a tin you get to keep. If you're after pack volume, other formats are a better fit; if you want something collectible with its own identity, Espeon wins.
And a bonus a lot of people overlook: the tin is reusable. Use it to store damage counters, the Eevee coin itself or your favorite card in a toploader to take to tournaments or meetups.
