Adidas Superstar LED Lights Comfort Closure Core Black Preloved Violet (TD) — The Shell with a Light of Its Own
The Superstar appeared in 1969 as a low-top version of the Pro Model and was the first basketball shoe with an entirely leather upper. Its decisive contribution was the shell-shaped rubber toe, which protected the toes and greatly increased durability: by 1973, more than 75% of NBA players wore it. In the eighties, it entered popular culture with Run-DMC, who wore it without laces and dedicated “My adidas” to it in 1986. This children's edition adds something the original never had: LED lights in the sole.
The Superstar LED Lights — Classic Style, Lights, and Easy Closure
The model's signature codes remain intact — shell toe, three perforated stripes, heel logo — adapted to baby sizing. The comfortable closure avoids the struggle with laces, while the LED lights integrated into the sole activate with each step. The colorway combines a Core Black base with Preloved Violet, a muted, dusty purple that softens the contrast.
